One Line Per Comic: 05/14/08 Edition

Final Crisis Sketchbook #1-

Enough foreplay already.

Transhuman #2-

Something I've never seen before, a truly fresh way of telling a story about super humans.

Wonder Woman #20-

I'm in love.

Green Lantern Corps #24-

Well that gives new meaning to the term “One Bad Mother” now doesn't it.

Project Superpowers #3-

I think that Jim Krueger is one of the most undervalued writers in superhero comics right now.

The Twelve #5-

Another wonderful exploration of largely unknown golden age heroes.

The Amazing Spider Girl #20

An interesting revelation at the end. I've heard a lot of good about this series.

Serenity: Better Days #3-

Feels really rushed. Maybe they should think about allowing more than 3 issues if the story needs it.

Superman #676-

Not bad as a placeholder. James Robinson is coming! Fear the awesomeness and give glory for the hour of his coming is nigh!

The Invincible Iron Man #1-

The buzz has convinced me to give this a try. I don't hate it. I might even come to love it. Time will tell.

Batman #676

Apparently Grant was saving the awesomeness for this issue, hopefully the whole arc.

Captain Britain and MI13 #1

You had me at John Lennon Skrull!

GeNext #1-

The idea of a universe in which the MU characters had aged in real time and a series about the X-Men's kids is too geeky an idea not to check out.

Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic #28-

I came for the Vector Crossover, I'm staying because I've come to really like the characters.

NewUniversal: Shockfront #1

The redemption of the New Universe concept. Some of Warren Ellis' finest work ever.

Booster Gold #9-

If you call yourself a DC Comics Geek and you are not in love with this series then shame on you.

Titans #2-

OMDSUC!! If the art sucked any harder the comic would have pulled in on its self and I'm not sure that would have been a bad thing.

The All New Iron Manual #1-

It's a handbook. I'm a sucker for handbooks.

X-Men Legacy #211-

Well I'm not totally in love but I'm not hating it either.

And now a new feature for One Line Per Comic. The weekly awards.

Comic you must try: Transhuman #2 (and well really #1 first)

Comic I'm adding to my pull next month and wasn't expecting to: Captain Britain and MI13

Comic I'm dropping like a hot rock covered in icky bugs: None this week.

Comic To Avoid: Titans #2

Train Wreck Of The Week: Titans #2

Thank you. That is all.

And hey! Let's be geeky out there.
